(→ P.5-5) Windows 98 Windows Me Windows XP TCP/IP Windows 2000 Server W8400 Note z If the Windows computers are setup to use a TCP/IP network, each computer can send print jobs directly to the printer over the network for printing. Furthermore, if a Windows Server 2003/ Windows XP/ Windows 2000/ Windows NT computer on the network is setup as a print server, higher printing efficiency can be obtained by sending the print jobs from each computer to the print server and allowing the print server to manage the print jobs and sends the print jobs to the network printer. For details on the procedures to setup a print server, refer to "Configuring the Printer for Sharing".
