SYSTEM OVERVIEW FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS EIS Additional Features When no terminal procedure chart is available for the nearest airport or the selected airport, the banner 'CHART NOT AVAILABLE' appears on the screen. The 'CHART NOT AVAILABLE' banner does not refer to the Jeppesen subscription, but rather the availability of a particular airport chart selection or procedure for a selected airport. Figure 8-25 Chart Not Available Banner If there is a problem in rendering the data (such as a data error or a failure of an individual chart), the banner 'UNABLE TO DISPLAY CHART' is then displayed. Figure 8-26 Unable To Display Chart Banner Day/Night View ChartView can be displayed on a white or black background for day or night viewing. The Day View offers a better presentation in a bright environment. The Night View gives a better presentation for viewing in a dark environment. Selecting Day, Night, or Auto View: 1) From the Home Screen, touch Charts > Charts Options. 2) Touch the Light Mode Button (Figure 8-22). 3) Touch the Day, Night, or Auto button. The selection is annunciated on the Light Mode Button. When Auto is selected, the display will change to the appropriate day or night setting, dependent on ambient lighting.
