Remove the screw attaching the lock to the chassis, as shown: Figure 4-5 Removing the lock screws Side access panel Before accessing the internal components of the workstation, you must remove the side access panel. NOTE: If the optional solenoid hood lock is installed and activated, it must be deactivated prior to powering down the workstation and removing the side access panel. To remove the side access panel: WARNING! 1. Power off the workstation and disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. 2. Disconnect power from the system (see Predisassembly procedures on page 52). 3. If necessary, unlock the side access panel. The keys are on the rear panel. Also, unlock other locks that are present, such as a cable lock or padlock. 4. As shown in the following figure, pull up on the latch handle (1) and lift the cover off the workstation (2). Side access panel
Before accessing the internal components of the workstation, you must remove the side access panel.
NOTE:
If the optional solenoid hood lock is installed and activated, it must be deactivated prior to
powering down the workstation and removing the side access panel.
To remove the side access panel:
WARNING!
1.
Power off the workstation and disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
2.
Disconnect power from the system (see
Predisassembly procedures
on page
52
).
3.
If necessary, unlock the side access panel. The keys are on the rear panel. Also, unlock other locks
that are present, such as a cable lock or padlock.
4.
As shown in the following figure, pull up on the latch handle (1) and lift the cover off the workstation
(2).
