Hood sensor (Smart cover sensor) To remove the hood sensor: 1. Disconnect power from the system (see Predisassembly procedures on page 52). 2. Remove the side access panel (see Side access panel on page 58). 3. Disconnect the white 1x3 hood sensor connector from the in-line connector attached to the front panel harness. 4. Slide the hood sensor forward, push it down, and remove it from the chassis, as shown: Figure 4-9 Removing the hood sensor 5. To replace the hood sensor, reverse the previous steps. Hood sensor (Smart cover sensor)
To remove the hood sensor:
1.
Disconnect power from the system (see
Predisassembly procedures
on page
52
).
2.
Remove the side access panel (see
Side access panel
on page
58
).
3.
Disconnect the white 1x3 hood sensor connector from the in-line connector attached to the front
panel harness.
4.
Slide the hood sensor forward, push it down, and remove it from the chassis, as shown:
