perfAddIPMonitor Adds a filter-based performance monitor for IP frame count. Synopsis perfaddipmonitor [slotnumber/]portnumber [alias] Availability admin NOTE: This command requires a Performance Monitor license. Description Use this command to define filter-based monitors to count the number of IP traffic frames. Only frames transmitted are counted. After a successful execution of this command, a monitor number is displayed. The monitor number is provided for manipulation of these filter-based performance monitors. The optional user-defined alias is also displayed, if one is specified. All valid monitor numbers and user-defined aliases can be displayed with the perfShowFilterMonitor command. The maximum number of filters is eight per port, including user-defined filters, read filters, write filters, read/write filters, SCSI frame monitor, and IP frame monitor. Operands The operands are as follows: slotnumber portnumber alias For bladed systems only, this operand specifies the slot number of the port on which the monitor is to be added, followed by a slash (/). Specifies the number of the port on which the monitor is to be added, relative to its slot for bladed systems. Use switchShow for a list of valid ports. Specify a name for this monitor. This string truncates to a maximum of 10 characters. It might be surrounded by quotation marks, in order to include spaces. This operand is optional. The default alias is IP Frame. Optionally, a comma can separate the operands. A space is required to separate the operands even when using commas.
