xStack® DGS-3400 Series Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet Managed Switch The Tree View window holds the following information under the Data tab: Parameter Description Device Name This field will display the Device Name of the switches in the SIM group configured by the user. If no device is configured by the name, it will be given the name default and tagged with the last six digits of the MAC Address to identify it. Local Port Displays the number of the physical port on the CS that the MS or CaS is connected to. The CS will have no entry in this field. Speed Displays the connection speed between the CS and the MS or CaS. Remote Port Displays the number of the physical port on the MS or CaS to which the CS is connected. The CS will have no entry in this field. MAC Address Model Name Displays the MAC Address of the corresponding Switch. Displays the full Model Name of the corresponding Switch. To view the Topology Map, click the View menu in the toolbar and then Topology, which will produce the following screen. The Topology View will refresh itself periodically (20 seconds by default).
