Changing Main Camera Functions with the FUNC Button Changing Main Camera Functions with the FUNC Button With the direct setting mode you can adjust the following main functions using the optional viewfinder's FUNC button or an assignable button set to [FUNC] while checking the effect on the image on a monitoring device. This section will explain the basic operation of the direct setting mode with the optional viewfinder. For details about 73 the functions, refer to each function's section. Available functions (pushing the joystick right to cycle) Shooting frame rate for slow & fast motion recording* (A 68) → Shutter speed (A 74) → ISO speed/gain (A 76) → White balance (mode, color temperature value and color compensation, A 86) * Only when slow & fast motion recording is activated. Using the Direct Setting Mode 1 Press the FUNC button on the optional viewfinder or an assignable button set to [FUNC] (A 127). • On the monitoring screen, the icon or onscreen display of the function selected to be adjusted will be highlighted with an orange underline. • Press the FUNC button/assignable button repeatedly or push the joystick left/right to select the function you wish to adjust. • Alternatively, you can press an assignable button set to [Slow&Fast Frame Rate], [Shutter], [ISO/Gain] or [White Balance] (A 127) to start the direct setting mode with the respective function already underlined. 2 Turn the SELECT dial or push the joystick up/down to select the desired value or white balance mode and then press SET. • The selected value/mode will be set and the camera will exit the direct setting mode (the orange underline will disappear). • You can press the BACK button instead to end the direct setting mode without changing the current value/ mode.
