Page 24 highlights

The Dashboard view displays an overview of the system and covers the following features, as shown in the following figure: • Properties of the virtual drives and the physical drives • Total capacity, configured capacity, and unconfigured capacity • Background operations in progress • MegaRAID Storage Manager software features and their status (enabled or disabled) • Actions you can perform, such as creating a virtual drive and updating the firmware • Links to Online Help Figure 5 Dashboard View The Physical view displays the hierarchy of physical devices in the system, as shown in Figure 6. At the top of the hierarchy is the system itself, followed by the controller and the backplane. One or more controllers are installed in the system. The controller label identifies the MegaRAID controller, such as the MegaRAID SAS 9260-8i controller, so that you can easily differentiate between multiple controllers. Each controller has one or more ports. Drives and other devices are attached to the ports. The properties for each item appear in the right panel of the screen.
