ENWW Copying does not begin after pressing start ● Insert or adjust the appropriate paper tray for the selected copy size. ● Firmly close the document cover. ● Completely close the front doors and toner access door of engine. ● Completely close the Finisher door. ● Check to see if the message "Please close stacker cover of Trimmer" is displayed. Close the Trimmer Unit cover, or front door, completely. Copying does not resume after misfed paper is removed Check the MFP diagram on the touch display for additional indications of misfed paper. Copy quality is poor Check the paper for dampness, and replace it if necessary. The original paper is misfed or skewed in the document feeder ● Originals should conform to the recommended size and weight. ● Make sure originals are not stapled. ● Align originals evenly in the RADF (ADF). ● Check to make sure paper guides meet the width of mixed size originals. Copy image is skewed when bypass is used Make sure copy paper is inserted straight. Using copy monitor, copies cannot be made after the password is typed ● Check to see if the message EXCEEDS LIMIT is displayed. ● Contact the key operator to reset limit. Finisher does not operate ● Touch OUTPUT APPLI. ● Check for a paper misfeed and remove it, as required. Close the Finisher door properly. RADF (ADF) indicator will not light after reset is pressed Fully close the RADF (ADF). RADF (ADF) light is flashing ● The document feeder is ready to accept originals. ● Insert originals on the RADF (ADF) tray, press Reset, and then press Start. ADD TONER message is displayed New toner supply is needed. Follow instructions for adding toner. CALL FOR PM is displayed Contact your service representative for Preventive Maintenance. APS selects the wrong copy size Paper guides must be adjusted exactly to the size of originals. 123
