(9) Weekly timer Weekly timer is a MFP management function that shuts down power to the engine on a daily or hourly basis. The weekly timer function can be programmed specifically for lunch breaks, weekends and holidays, or any time the MFP is not required. In addition, the Timer interrupt can be enabled (with or without a password requirement) to allow temporary use of the engine during periods when power is shut down by the weekly timer function. This function can be accessed only by the key operator after a unique four-digit weekly timer password is provided. To ensure the security of this management function, HP recommends that you establish a unique password, and keep it in a confidential file. The weekly timer function is not initially activated. If this function needs to be activated on your engine, contact a service representative. Conditions required to use the weekly timer ● The power plug is inserted into the socket. Weekly timer will not function if the engine is unplugged, although the setting data will remain. ● The power switch is turned on. ● The current date and time are correctly set. The following weekly timer settings can be made. (1) Weekly timer on/off setting Enable and disable the timer function. (2) Timer setting Specify the times that the MFP turns on and off for each day of the week or the entire week. (3) Timer action on/off setting Specify the working days of the engine by the timer, for all Mondays through Sundays, or individually for each day of the specified month, or both. (4) Lunch hour off setting Specify the lunch time interval during which the MFP turns off and on.
