(9) Weekly timer Weekly timer is a MFP management function that shuts down power to the engine on a daily or hourly basis. The weekly timer function can be programmed specifically for lunch breaks, weekends and holidays, or any time the MFP is not required. In addition, the Timer interrupt can be enabled (with or without a password requirement) to allow temporary use of the engine during periods when power is shut down by the weekly timer function. This function can be accessed only by the key operator after a unique four-digit weekly timer password is provided. To ensure the security of this management function, HP recommends that you establish a unique password, and keep it in a confidential file. The weekly timer function is not initially activated. If this function needs to be activated on your engine, contact a service representative. Conditions required to use the weekly timer ● The power plug is inserted into the socket. Weekly timer will not function if the engine is unplugged, although the setting data will remain. ● The power switch is turned on. ● The current date and time are correctly set.
