Handling and care MFP contact ● Never touch internal high temperature or magnetic areas indicated with a caution label. ● Never touch an internal high voltage area, indicated with a WARNING label. ● Never touch the drum surface. ● Never touch the inside of the MFP for any purpose except when removing a paper jam or adding toner. ● Never put your hand into the developing unit when removing a paper jam. ● If machine repair is necessary, do not attempt to repair the MFP. If the Service call screen is displayed and MFP operations cannot be continued, stop the operation to prevent any damage or injury. Write down the report code displayed on the second line of the message, and then turn off the MFP and disconnect from the power source. Failure to heed the following cautions may result in MFP damage, overheating, and/or personal injury. The following pages include important safety information that you must read and understand before you attempt to operate the MFP. If you have any concerns about safety, please contact your service representative. Preventing fire Do not install the MFP near flammable materials, curtains, and volatile combustibles that can catch or cause fire. Preventing short circuit Do not install the MFP where it could come in contact with water. Precautions for routine handling Failure to heed the following cautions may result in MFP damage, overheating, and/or personal injury. Toner recovery box Do not throw the toner recovery box into a fire; the toner may ignite. Abnormal conditions ● If any abnormal sound, odor, or smoke generates from the MFP, immediately stop using the MFP, turn off the main power switch, disconnect the plug, and contact a service representative. ● If a circuit breaker is tripped or if a fuse blows, stop using the MFP and contact an electrician. If more detailed information is needed regarding the power source or power consumption of the MFP, contact a service representative. ● Ensure that replacement fuses conform to the rating of the power source. Never use a fuse with an incorrect rating. Modifications Do not modify the MFP in any way or remove any part or screw. MFP contact
Never touch internal high temperature or magnetic areas indicated with a caution label.
Never touch an internal high voltage area, indicated with a WARNING label.
Never touch the drum surface.
Never touch the inside of the MFP for any purpose except when removing a paper jam or
adding toner.
Never put your hand into the developing unit when removing a paper jam.
If machine repair is necessary,
do not
attempt to repair the MFP. If the Service call screen
is displayed and MFP operations cannot be continued, stop the operation to prevent any
damage or injury. Write down the report code displayed on the second line of the
message, and then turn off the MFP and disconnect from the power source. Contact your
service representative and inform the representative of the report code.
