Connections ■ Digital input/output connections e.g., CD recorder 4 Digital I/O card LS9-16 Power amp Connections and setup Speaker processor (e.g., Yamaha DME64N) Main speakers Use the 2TR IN DIGITAL/2TR OUT DIGITAL jacks or the mini-YGDAI slot to send or receive digital audio signals between the LS9 and external equipment. When the LS9 is in the default state, the signals of the following channels are patched to the 2TR IN DIGITAL/2TR OUT DIGITAL jacks and slots. This patching can be changed as necessary (→ p. 95, 99). By installing a separately sold digital I/O card in a slot, you can add more input/output jacks to the LS9, or connect a DAW system or speaker processor. For details on the types of I/O cards that can be used, refer to the appendix at the end of this manual (→ p. 274). Check the Yamaha website for the most recent information on I/O cards. http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/ NOTE • In order for digital audio signal to be transmitted or received via the 2TR IN DIGITAL/2TR OUT DIGITAL jacks or slots, the word clock of both devices must be synchronized (→ p. 46).
