Setup required when starting up Word clock connection and settings "Word clock" is the clock data that provides the timing basis for audio signals to be processed digitally. If a digital I/O card installed in a slot is digitally connected to an external device such as a DAW system, CD player, or HDR (hard disk recorder), and you want digital audio signals to be transmitted or received between the LS9 and the external device, you must synchronize the word clock of the respective devices. In order for this to occur, one device must be the word clock master (transmitting device) and the other device must be the slave (receiving device), and the slave device must synchronize to the master device. If you want to set the LS9 as the word clock slave so that it will synchronize to the word clock supplied from an external device, you can either use the clock data included in the digital audio signal received from a digital I/O card, or provide dedicated word clock to the WORD CLOCK IN jack located on the rear panel.
