- Possible Diagnoses: JTAG failure on the boards identified in the error message. 3 Correction: Replace each board in turn, retesting each until the JTAG fault is rectified. - Possible Diagnoses: Midplane fault associated with JTAG bus on the identified slots. 3 Correction: Replace the Midplane and re-test. ERROR cannot read lm75, suspected I2C failure on board X. • Location: Failure to read the temperature monitor on a specific (defined) board. - Possible Diagnoses: I2C bus fault on the identified board. 3 Correction: Replace the board and re-test. ERROR Board X does not report correct number of chips or is unknown type • Location: The quantity of ASICs (switch chips) read is incorrect. - Possible Diagnoses: ASIC or ASIC eeprom fault. Board failure. 3 Correction: Replace board and re-test. - Possible Diagnoses: The type of board is unknown to the installed version of the self test software. 3 Correction: Update the controller card firmware to an appropriate and supported revision. ERROR Fantray X is missing or faulty • Location: Fan tray A or fan tray B. - Possible Diagnoses: Slot 0, 1, 2, 3 and/or Ctrl A is populated and fan tray A is required. 3 Correction: Insert or replace fan tray A. - Possible Diagnoses: Slot 4, 5, 6, 7 and/or Ctrl B is populated and fan tray B is required. 3 Correction: Insert or replace fan tray B.
