12.11 Testing and Verifying Replaceable Modules
Use the procedures described in this section to test and verify replaceable
components if you suspect an error. If your cluster has a reduced bandwidth
configuration, you must incorporate the following rules into the tests:
Reduced bandwidth, 128-way bounded interconnect:
If there are both QM511C and QM511L switch cards present in the
interconnect, it is a reduced bandwidth configuration. You must apply the
following rules when running the tests:
-
Level 1 test: Perform this test on all nodes.
-
Level 2 test and Level 3 test: Perform these tests only on nodes with an
even-numbered node ID (2, 4, 6, to N nodes in the cluster).
Reduced bandwidth, federated interconnect:
-
Level 1 test and level 2 tests: Perform these tests on all node IDs.
-
Level 3 test and Level 4 test: The test pattern organizes node IDs into
groups of 4, and you test only every other 4 nodes beginning with node 0.
Table Table 12-2 shows the first 6 groups of node IDs in the test progression.
You must follow this test pattern progression up to the total number of
nodes in the cluster.
