2 SYSTEM REALTIME MESSAGE 2.1 SONG SELECT (F3) Reception Select the track number shown in the TITLE LIST screen of the USB memory recorder. STATUS 11110011 F3 Song select Song number 0sssssss ss Song number (0-127) 2.2 TIMING CLOCK (F8) Reception This message is used to control effects. This message is transmitted twenty-four times per quarter note. Echoing of this message depends on the OTHER item in the ECHO settings. STATUS 11111000 F8 Timing clock 2.3 ACTIVE SENSING (FE) Reception Once this message has been received, MIDI communication will be initialized (e.g., Running Status will be cleared) if no message is received for an interval of 400 ms. This message is not subject to echoing. STATUS 11111110 FE Active sensing 2.4 SYSTEM RESET (FF) Reception When this message is received, MIDI communication will be initialized (e.g., Running Status will be cleared). The unique header (Model ID) identifies whether the device is a QL series. To calculate the check sum, add the bytes starting with the byte after BYTE COUNT (LOW) and ending with the byte before CHECK SUM, take the binary complement, and set bit 7 to 0. CHECK SUM = (-sum)&0x7F Bulk Dumps can be received at any time, and can be transmitted at any time when a Bulk Dump Request is received. A Bulk Dump is transmitted on the [Rx CH] channel in response to a Bulk Dump Request. In the data portion, seven words of 8-bit data are converted into eight words of 7-bit data. 34 Data List
