Diagnosing the Problem When the Server Does Not Start The following visual and audio clues indicate that the server is not starting: • The LEDs are off. • The fans are not spinning. • Something seems, looks, or sounds wrong or different. • There is physical damage to the system. • Something is cool that should be warm. • There are frayed cables. • The system does not follow the normal power-up sequence, as described in your server-specific user documentation.
