bizhub C360/C280/C220 Fax Features & Functions FRAME ERASE TRANSMISSION Frame Erase Transmission is a function that allows you to transmit a bound document such as a book, without the dark bands that would otherwise be reproduced in the margin areas of the transmission pages. Dark bands are reproduced when the original is a book or read with the ADF left open. When this Function is selected, the device erases the black shadow around the document. BACKGROUND ADJUSTMENT Background Adjustment enables you to adjust the background color density of the original. When the document has a color background, the background of the transmission data turns black when it is scanned. In these type of situations, you would use the Background Adjustment feature before transmitting the document. SHARPNESS Sharpness is a function used to adjust the intensity of character edges. When a document has blurred characters, selecting a (+) level on the Sharpness scale, will adjust the characters so that they can be clearly read. Selecting a (-) level on the Sharpness scale, will adjust the characters so that they have a smooth look. 108
