bizhub C360/C280/C220 Copy Features & Functions CENTER BINDING - "HALF-FOLD" Copies can be center folded ("Half-Fold" setting) or bound with staples after being folded in half ("Center Staple & Fold" setting). When the "Booklet" function is used, it is possible for the device to automatically scan the pages in the proper page order to produce double-sided copies in a page layout for center binding. Center Staple and Fold, and Half-Fold requires the FS-527 Booklet Finisher and SD-509 Saddle Kit. It's the SD-509 Saddle Kit that performs the center stapling and fold, and half-fold. STAPLING COPIES Copies are stapled together before they are fed out. Stapling functions are supported by the FS-527, 50-sheet Staple Finisher and FS-529, 50-sheet Inner Finisher. The stapling options available include corner stapling, two-position stapling (top or side) and center stapling (with SD-509 for FS-527 only). SORTING COPIES The sorting method for outputting copies can be selected. Since the volume is not dependent upon the number of output bins, this function allows you to store large-volume jobs. If offset sorting is selected when no finisher is installed, the printed copies will be fed and sorted in an alternating criss cross pattern provided letter-size paper is used and that this same size paper and type is loaded in the portrait orientation in one paper drawer and in the landscape orientation in a second drawer. If a finisher is installed, printed copies are fed out and stacked on top of one another with each set shifted to easily separate the sets. 57
