bizhub C360/C280/C220 Print Features & Functions Controller Options IC-412 FIERY IMAGE CONTROLLER The IC-412 Fiery Image Controller is for those color environment users that require advanced queue managements, color matching and color management/calibration capabilities. The optional VI-505 Fiery Controller interface is required to connect the controller to the device. EFI Secure Erase - Secure Erase is designed to remove the job file from the Fiery HDD whenever a job is deleted. At the instance of deletion, the job file is erased multiple times. Secure Erase provides a high level of document security on the Fiery Server. Removable HD (SPA) - The Fiery supports a removable hard drive option kit for increased security. This kit provides the user with the ability to both lock the server drive(s) into the system for normal operation and the ability to remove the drivers to a secure location after powering down the server. Virtual Printers - The Fiery administrator can define a series of virtual printers for the Fiery to publish. The user can access a virtual printer via a print driver. Jobs submitted through the virtual printer conform to the job ticket settings of the virtual printer. The administrator can define, in case of a conflict, whether the job ticket settings defined in the virtual printer or in the print driver apply to the print job. Fiery Graphic Art Software - The Fiery Graphic Arts Options allow a graphics user to add three graphic-oriented features to the device. These three options are designed specifically for graphic arts professionals who want specialized tools to help them achieve their vision of color and print quality. q Auto Trap - Also activated in the driver when installed, this function will automatically compensate for mis-registration of a document q Hot Folders - This function can be used to provide an easy and consistent way of forwarding jobs without the need of installing a special utility. With this utility, you can perform the following tasks: • Automate the printing process by embedding job ticket settings on the desktop • Set up jobs with the finishing options already added as well as imposition attributes for drag and drop printing capability. This will eliminate the repetitive task of configuring and setting multiple jobs. 53
