QUIET OPERATION
Several improvements were made to achieve a quiet operation in C360/C280/C220.
Improvements include reduction of dB levels as well as elimination of undesirable
or unpleasant noises.
Noise Reduction Measures taken for MFP
Reduced Fan Noise.
Reduced Paper Feed Noise.
Reduced Drive Noise.
Addition of Constant Pressure Mechanism for Secondary
Transfer Roller.
Noise Reduction Measures taken for the ADF
Paper feed speed has been changed and acceleration speed
has been reduced.
The vibration noise was reduced by changing motor frequency.
Some of the mechanisms were replaced with a belt drive.
Undesirable noises were reduced through the use
of brushless motors.
Noise Reduction Measures taken for Staple Finisher (FS-527)
Drive noise and the paper transport noise have been reduced
by decreasing the maximum transport speed.
Impact noise has been reduced by decreasing the speed at which
the roller presses down and releases.
Boot up operations have been reviewed when the power
is turned on.
Operating noise has been reduced by use of a belt drive.
Impact noise during the paper path change was reduced.
Operating noise was reduced by reviewing the precision of part
locations.
