xStack Gigabit Layer 3 Switch Command Line Interface Manual create vlan Restrictions header information is defined by the Reverse Address Resolution (RARP) Protocol. Each VLAN name can be up to 32 characters. If the VLAN is not given a tag, it will be a port-based VLAN. Only administrator-level users can issue this command. Example usage: NOTE: A specific protocol VLAN and a user defined protocol VLAN with the same encapsulation protocol cannot coexist and will result in a Fail! Message.
