xStack Gigabit Layer 3 Switch Command Line Interface Manual config ports Restrictions one connection is set for 1000 master, the other side of the connection must be set for 1000 slave. Any other configuration will result in a link down status for both ports. flow_control [enable | disable] - Enable or disable flow control for the specified ports. learning [enable | disable] − Enables or disables the MAC address learning on the specified range of ports. state [enable | disable] − Enables or disables the specified range of ports. description - Enter an alphanumeric string of no more than 32 characters to describe a selected port interface. clear - Enter this command to clear the port description of the selected port(s). Only administrator-level users can issue this command. Example usage: To configure the speed of port 3 of unit 1 to be 10 Mbps, full duplex, learning and state enable: DGS-3324SRi:4#config ports 1:1-1:3 speed 10_full learning enable state enable Command: config ports 1:1-1:3 speed 10_full learning enable state enable Success. DGS-3324SRi:4# show ports Purpose Syntax Description Parameters Restrictions Used to display the current configuration of a range of ports. show ports {description} This command is used to display the current configuration of a range of ports. − Specifies a range of ports to be displayed. The port list is specified by listing the lowest switch number and the beginning port number on that switch, separated by a colon. Then the highest switch number, and the highest port number of the range (also separated by a colon) are specified. The beginning and end of the port list range are separated by a dash. For example, 1:3 specifies switch number 1, port 3. 2:4 specifies switch number 2, port 4. 1:3-2:4 specifies all of the ports between switch 1, port 3 and switch 2, port 4 − in numerical order. {description} - Adding this parameter to the command will allow the user to view previously configured descriptions set on various ports on the Switch.
