xStack Gigabit Layer 3 Switch Command Line Interface Manual config ipif Description Parameters Restrictions This command is used to configure the System IP interface on the Switch. - Enter the previously created IP interface name desired to be configured. ipaddress − IP address and netmask of the IP interface to be configured. The address and mask information can be specified using the traditional format (for example, 10.1.2.3/255.0.0.0 or in CIDR format, 10.1.2.3/8). vlan − The name of the VLAN corresponding to the previously created IP interface. If a primary and secondary IP interface are configured for the same VLAN (subnet), the user cannot change the VLAN of the IP interface. state [enable | disable] − Allows you to enable or disable the IP interface. bootp − Allows the selection of the BOOTP protocol for the assignment of an IP address to the Switch's System IP interface. dhcp − Allows the selection of the DHCP protocol for the assignment of an IP address to the Switch's System IP interface. config ipif
Description
This command is used to configure the System IP interface on the
Switch.
Parameters
<ipif_name 12>
- Enter the previously created IP interface name
desired to be configured.
ipaddress <network_address>
IP address and netmask of the IP
interface to be configured. The address and mask information can
be specified using the traditional format (for example,
10.1.2.3/255.0.0.0 or in CIDR format, 10.1.2.3/8).
vlan <vlan_name 32>
The name of the VLAN corresponding to
the previously created IP interface. If a primary and secondary IP
interface are configured for the same VLAN (subnet), the user
cannot change the VLAN of the IP interface.
state [enable | disable]
Allows you to enable or disable the IP
interface.
bootp
Allows the selection of the BOOTP protocol for the
assignment of an IP address to the Switch’s System IP interface.
dhcp
Allows the selection of the DHCP protocol for the
assignment of an IP address to the Switch’s System IP interface.
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure the IP interface System:
DGS-3324SRi:4#config ipif System ipaddress 10.48.74.122/8
Command: config ipif System ipaddress 10.48.74.122/8
Success.

enable ipif
Purpose
Used to enable an IP interface on the Switch.
Syntax
enable ipif {<ipif_name 12> | all}
