GS728TS, GS728TPS, GS752TS, and GS752TPS Gigabit Smart Switches Field Description Type The type of the ARP entry. Possible values are: • Local. An ARP entry associated with one of the switch's routing interface's MAC addresses. • Gateway. A dynamic ARP entry whose IP address is that of a router. • Static. An ARP entry configured by the user. • Dynamic. An ARP entry which has been learned by the router. Age Age since the entry was last refreshed in the ARP Table. The format is hh:mm:ss. Click Refresh to refresh the page with the most current data from the switch. ARP Create Use this page to add a static entry to the ARP table. To display the page, click Routing ARP, then click the Advanced ARP Create link. To configure a static ARP entry: 1. In the IP Address field, enter the IP address that you want to add. It must be the IP address of a device on a subnet attached to one of the switch's existing routing interfaces. 2. In the MAC Address field, enter the unicast MAC address of the device. The format is six two-digit hexadecimal numbers separated by colons, for example 00:06:29:32:81:40. 3. Click Add to add an ARP Entry. 4. If you made any changes to existing entries, click Apply to update the settings. 5. To delete an entry, select the box associated with the entry and click Delete. 6. Click Cancel to cancel the configuration on the screen and reset the data on the screen to the latest value of the switch. 173
