Description Use router id to configure a global router ID. Use undo router id to remove the global router ID. By default, no global router ID is configured. Some routing protocols use a router ID to identify a device. You can configure a global router ID, which is used by routing protocols that have no router ID configured. If no global router ID is configured, the highest loopback interface IP address, if any, is used as the router ID. If no loopback interface IP address is available, the highest physical interface IP address is used, regardless of the interface status.
