FIPS To maintain security while in FIPs mode, these devices will not function if FIPs mode is enabled. If these devices are configured and you try to enter FIPs mode, an error will occur. You must delete the configuration of these devices prior to entering FIPs mode. Examples of supported configurations The examples below demonstrate how to set up your HP StorageWorks 400 Multi-Protocol Routers using two different network scenarios. These are only examples and you should substitute the IP addresses used in these examples for the ones given to you by your network administrator. These examples use a Linux OS on the Management Station and routers. You must use the appropriate commands for your Management Station and routers OS. Configuring a Management Station on the same subnet This is an example of the management station on the same subnet as the GE ports on the HP StorageWorks 400 Multi-Protocol Routers. Using the network diagram shown in Figure 92, the configuration would be set up as listed below. Figure 92 Management station on same subnet 1. Configure the management interfaces on the 7500 L1. a.
