Setting fixed stitches/name label sewing (856A, 855A-A0 [ ] only) 1362M Start point/end point F E = Number of fixed stitches (✽ ✽) E = Number of fixed stitches E (✽ ✽) F = Number of second fixed stitches (✽ ✽) 1363M The sewing machine can be stopped automatically once the set number of stitches (✽ ✽) have been sewn. The sewing machine can be used to attach name labels. • At the places marked with O, the sewing machine momentarily stops in the needle down stop position. After turning the material, depress the treadle. (For -90 [ ] specifications, the presser foot rises at each corner.) • If automatic thread trimming has been set, the thread is trimmed at the sewing end. e r e q w 1466M Carry out the following settings after the thread has been trimmed (or after the treadle has been depressed backward for the 855A-A0 [ ]). 1. Press the fixed stitch/name label key q. The indicator w will illuminate, and AA AA will appear on the LED display e as the current setting for the number of fixed stitch/name label stitches. (For example, AA AA represents 20 fixed stitches.) 2. Press the Ħ and Ĥ selection keys r to change the setting for the number of fixed stitch/name label stitches to between 1 and 99. 3. Press the fixed stitch/name label key q once more. The indicator w will remain illuminated, and AA AA will appear on the LED display e as the current setting for the second number of fixed stitch/name label stitches. 4. Press the Ħ and Ĥ selection keys r to set to AA AA. Press the Ħ and Ĥ selection keys r to set the second number of stitches to between 1 and 99. * When AA AA appears in the LED display e, changing it to AA AA will set fixed stitches, and changing it to a number other than "0" will set name label stitches. q r w 1467M I Turning the fixed stitch/name label function on and off • Carry out the following settings after the thread has been trimmed (or after the treadle has been depressed backward for the 855A-A0 [ ]). • The condition changes as shown below each time the fixed stitch/name label key q is pressed. • Fixed stitch/name label sewing is carried out when the fixed stitch/name label indicator w is illuminated.
