TROUBLESHOOTING►GENERAL PROBLEMS THE MOTION SENSOR DOES NOT RESPOND CORRECTLY ( BP-70C31 / BP-70C36 / BP-70C45/ BP-70C55 / BP-70C65) Check Is the motion sensor disabled? Is there are problem in the installation location or installation environment? Is the detection range set correctly? Solution ■ Select [Motion Sensor Mode] in "Settings (administrator)" - [System Settings]→[Energy Save]→[Eco Setting]→[Sleep Mode Power Level] or "Settings (administrator)" - [Initial Installation Settings]→[Sleep Mode Power Level]. ■ Check the installation location and installation environment. The motion sensor may not operate correctly in the conditions below. • An object is in front of the motion sensor • There are scratches or dirt on the motion sensor cover • The motion sensor is directly exposed to sunlight or air flow • The motion sensor is damaged • There is a source of heat such as a heater nearby • An object is moving in the detection range ■ Adjust the detection range. Motion sensor Near Far PRINTING IS NOT POSSIBLE OR STOPS DURING A JOB Check Is a tray out of paper? Is the machine out of toner? Has a paper misfeed occurred? Is the output tray full? Is the toner collection container full? Solution ■ Add paper as instructed by the message in the touch panel. ■ Replace the toner cartridge.REPLACEMENT OF TONER CARTRIDGE (page 1-74) ■ Remove the misfeed as instructed by the message in the touch panel. ■ Remove the output from the tray and resume printing. When the output tray becomes full, a detector activates and stops printing. ■ Replace the toner collection container as instructed by the message in the touch panel. 10-7
