This address is used by first-hop routers to send Register packets on behalf of the source multicast host. Syntax ipv6 pim rp-address address group-address group-address mask override To remove an RP address, use the no ipv6 pim re-address address group-address mask override. Parameters address group-address group-address mask override Enter the IPv6 RP address in the x:x:x:x::x format. The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal fields of zero. Enter the keyword group-address followed by the group address in the x:x:x:x::x format and then the mask in /nn format to assign that group address to the RP. The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal fields of zero. Enter the keyword override to override the BSR updates with static RP.
