3 Note If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash clothing in cold water. Hot water and the heat of the dryer sets toner into the fabric. 3 Remove the toner cartridge. 4 Note If you notice excessive amounts of toner inside the HP LaserJet 3100 product, the toner cartridge may be defective. Use HP LaserJet toner cartridges to ensure high quality printing and to reduce incidents of excessive toner. 5 4 Dab a lint-free cloth in isopropyl alcohol. WARNING! Alcohol is flammable. Keep it away from open flame. Allow alcohol to dry completely before closing the printer and plugging in the power cord. 5 Locate the light gray pickup roller near the center in the opening. CAUTION Do not touch the long black sponge roller inside the product. Touching it can reduce the print quality of output. 230 9 Troubleshooting and Maintenance EN
