A

portion

of

the

memory,

called

the

clipboard,

allows

you

to

store

a

block

of

the

current

document.

Later,

the

contents

of

the

clipboard

can

be

recalled

for

inser-

tion

in

the

same

document

or

in

any

other

document

you

are

working

on.

You

can

copy

a

block

stored

in

the

clipboard

as

many

times

as

you

want.

Each

time

you

store

a

new

block

in

the

clipboard,

you

will

erase

the

previous

contents

of

the

clipboard.

NOTES:

•

The

clipboard

is

erased

after

the

power

is

turned

off.

•

The

clipboard

may

contain

up

to

4K

bytes

(about

4,000

characters).

Position

the

cursor

on

the

first

character

of

the

block

you

want

to

copy

to

the

clipboard.

2.

Press

kAA

to

display

the

menu.

3.

Use

CD

and

a

to

select

BLOCK,

and

press

[-two

Instead

of

(3),

type

"B".

Use

W

to

select

COPY

TO

CLIPBOARD

and

press

RI.

Accelerator:

Instead

of

(4),

type

"O".

Move

cursor

to

block

end

and

press

RETURN.

5.

Move

the

cursor

to

the

end

of

the

block

to

be

copied

to

the

clipboard.

As

you

move

the

cursor,

the

block

is

highlighted

(reverse

image).

Move

the

cursor

back

toward

the

beginning

of

the

block

to

deselect.

All

key

combinations

used

to

move

the

text

cursor

can

be

used

when

marking

a

block,

(See

"Moving

the

Text

Cursor"

on

page

33.)

6.

When

the

block

is

selected,

press

PTA.

NOTE:

Press

gimp

at

any

step

to

cancel

the

function.

If

the

clipboard

was

empty,

the

block

is

immediately

copied

to

the

clipboard.

If

the

clipboard

already

contained

data,

the

current

contents

of

the

clipboard

is

displayed

and

you

are

asked

whether

you

want

to

proceed.
