Google voice typing 1. From the Home screen, press Menu and then tap Settings ➔ Controls tab ➔ Language and Controls input➔ Google voice typing. 2. Tap to display the Google voice typing settings screen. 3. Tap Choose input languages to select a language. 4. Tap Block offensive words to block recognition of known offensive words or language. A check mark indicates activation. 5. Tap Offline speech recognition to enable speech recognition using locally stored files so you can use this service even when not connected to a network. 194 Configuring Voice Input Recognition This feature allows the device to correctly recognize verbal input. 1. From the Home screen, press Menu and then tap Settings ➔ Controls tab ➔ Language and input. Controls 2. Tap Voice search to configure the following: • Language: choose a language for your voice input. • Speech output: Sets whether you will use speech output always or only when using hands-free. • Block offensive words: enable or disable blocking of recognized offensive words from the results of your voice-input Google searches. • Hotword detection: enable to being able to launch voice search by saying the word "Google". • Offline speech recognition: enables voice input while offline. • Personalized recognition: Improves speech recognition accuracy. • Google Account dashboard: Manages your collected data. • Bluetooth headset: Records audio through the Bluetooth headset when it is plugged in. • ???
