Configuring Boxes
Setting a Bus
All input signals collected from each box to the crosspoint
box can be selected on an assigned target bus.
The number of assignable buses will vary depending on
the system signal format.
2160P format:
For an M/E box: 32 (max)
For a cross-point box: 16 (max)
1080P or 1080i format:
For an M/E box: 96 (max)
For a cross-point box: 48 (max)
Only the input signals and internal signals of a target
box can be selected on an unassigned bus.
In a 1M/E box switcher configuration, this setting is not
required. All signals can be selected on all buses.
When a multi viewer is configured for a hardware block
(physical block) of the switcher, Multi Viewer Inputs 1
to 16 are assigned to a bus. The settings cannot be
changed.
1
Open the Home > Setup > Switcher > Box Settings >
Bus Assign menu (19103.51).
2
Select the target bus number to set.
The types of buses that can be assigned are displayed
in white in [Bus Assignable Groups].
3
Press the [Edit Bus] button.
The [Select Bus] window appears.
4
Set the button for the target bus to the on state.

Setting Re-Entry Signals
You can send a re-entry signal or internal signal for a
target box to the cross-point box and then select that
signal on the bus of each box or output that signal on the
output (Output) of each box. You can set the signals to
send to the cross-point box. For the cross-point box, the
signals to use must be assigned.
The number of assignable signals will vary depending on
the system signal format.
2160P format:
For an M/E box: 12 (max)
For a cross-point box: 16 (max)
1080P or 1080i format:
For an M/E box: 24 (max)
For a cross-point box: 32 (max)
When the output from frame memory or a clip player
sent to the cross-point box is selected on a bus, one line
is dropped from the image.
In a 1M/E box switcher configuration, this setting is not
required.
For a cross-point box, set the required signals from
among the re-entry signals and input signals.
Signals assigned using the Home > Setup > Switcher >
Box Settings > Re-Entry Source Assign menu
(19103.52) have the following restrictions.
– M/E box signals
When the system signal format is 2160P, ancillary
data is deleted from signals assigned to No. 1, 2, 7,
and 8.
When an assigned frame memory signal or clip
player signal is used on a cross-point box, the
ancillary data is deleted from that signal.
– Cross-point box signals
When an assigned input signal, frame memory signal,
or clip player signal is used, the ancillary data is
deleted from that signal.
1
Open the Home > Setup > Switcher > Box Settings >
Re-Entry Source Assign menu (19103.52).
2
Select the number of the target signal to set.
