Displaying device attributes Select a box or control panel bank in the list and press the attribute display on/off button at the top right of the screen to display the attributes of the selected box or control panel bank on the right side. Recovering from mismatches If there is a mismatch between the obtained configuration information from a detected device and the configuration information managed by MLS Manager, an error will be displayed. Press the [Recover Mismatch] button to recover from mismatches. Configuring an Island You can assign M/E boxes and cross-point boxes to an island and check the local interface connections between the assigned boxes. Note Do not perform a connection check during normal system operation. 1 Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island > Island Config menu (60211.02). 2 In the list on the left, select an assignment destination physical box ID. 3 In the list on the right, select a box to assign to the island. 4 Press the [Assign] button. To release a box assignment Press the [Release] button to release the box assignment for the selected physical box ID. 5 Press the [Check Local I/F] button. The [Check Local I/F] window appears. 6 Press the [Check Now] button. A check of the local interface connections between the assigned M/E boxes and cross-point box is performed. 7 View the check results. Port Status Displays the wiring check results and connection destination port information. (OK icon): Wiring check results are consistent (Error icon): Wiring check results are inconsistent (Error icon) + "(Not Exist)": Unable to check wiring because there is no module on the port (Error icon) + "(No Connection)": Unable to check wiring because the module on the port is not connected Signal Status Displays the signal quality check results. (OK icon): Signal quality check results are OK (Error icon): Signal quality check results indicate an error (Error icon) + "(Not Exist)": Unable to check signal quality because there is no module on the port Note If an error occurs, check the box wiring and then press the [Check Now] button again to execute a connection check. To sort the box list display You can press a display item title in the list on the right to sort the display. Pressing a title switches between ascending and descending order each time you press the title, and [v] (ascending) or [V] (descending) is displayed on the right side of the title. Note In a 1M/E box switcher configuration, set using the Home > Setup > System > Format/Config > Format menu (19101.22) on each switcher. Displaying device attributes
Select a box or control panel bank in the list and press the
attribute display on/off button at the top right of the
screen to display the attributes of the selected box or
control panel bank on the right side.
Recovering from mismatches
If there is a mismatch between the obtained configuration
information from a detected device and the configuration
information managed by MLS Manager, an error will be
displayed. Press the [Recover Mismatch] button to
recover from mismatches.
Configuring an Island
You can assign M/E boxes and cross-point boxes to an
island and check the local interface connections between
the assigned boxes.
Do not perform a connection check during normal system
operation.

Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island >
Island Config menu (60211.02).

In the list on the left, select an assignment destination

In the list on the right, select a box to assign to the

To release a box assignment
