Setting the reference signal format You can set the reference signal format of a switcher configured from multiple boxes in an island. 1 Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island > Format menu (60211.03). 2 In the [Reference Format] group, select the format of the reference signal. Tri Sync: Selects HD tri-level sync. BB: Selects black burst or sync. Setting the signal format of a cross-point box You can set the signal format of a cross-point box in an island. Note If the signal formats of a switcher and cross-point box do not match, the cross-point box cannot be operated. For details, see "Logical Switchers" (page 16) in "System Configuration." 1 Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island > Format menu (60211.03). 2 In the [XPT Box Signal Format] group, select a signal format. 2160P 2SI: Selects 2160P 2SI signal format. 1080P: Selects 1080P signal format. 1080i: Selects 1080i signal format. Configuring a Switcher You can assign boxes and control panels to a switcher in an island. The box with a logical box ID of 1 becomes the primary box, and the other boxes become secondary boxes. 1 Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island > Logical Switcher Config menu (60211.04). 2 Select a tab to change the switcher to configure. 3 In the [Box] group list on the left, select an assignment destination logical box ID. 4 In the [Box] group list on the right, select a box to assign to the switcher. 5 Press the [Assign] button. Note Changing a box from a primary box to a secondary box will delete the content data and package files stored in the box. To release a box assignment Press the [Release] button to release the box assignment for the selected logical box ID. Note When a box assignment is released, the license assigned to the box is also released. 6 In the [Panel] group list on the left, select an assignment destination control panel ID. 7 In the [Panel] group list on the right, select a control panel to assign to the switcher. 8 Press the [Assign] button. To release a control panel assignment Press the [Release] button to release the control panel assignment for the selected control panel ID. Configuring Box Network Settings You can configure the network settings of each box in an island. Setting the network interface You can configure the following six types of network interface for each box. • Standard interface 1 (STD 1): LAN 1 connector (d (see page 62) on rear of box) settings • Standard interface 2 (STD 2): LAN 2 connector (e (see page 62) on rear of box) settings • Expansion interface 1 (OPT 1): Network expansion 1 connector 1) (p (see page 62) on rear of box) settings • Expansion interface 2 (OPT 2): Network expansion 2 connector 1) (o (see page 62) on rear of box) settings • Expansion interface 3 (OPT 3): Network expansion 3 connector 1) (n (see page 62) on rear of box) settings • Expansion interface 4 (OPT 4): Network expansion 4 connector 1) (m (see page 62) on rear of box) settings 1) Can be used when a network card is installed in the PCIe slot of the box. 470

Setting the reference signal format
You can set the reference signal format of a switcher
configured from multiple boxes in an island.

Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island >
Format menu (60211.03).

In the [Reference Format] group, select the format of
the reference signal.
Tri Sync:
Selects HD tri-level sync.
BB:
Selects black burst or sync.
Setting the signal format of a cross-point
box
You can set the signal format of a cross-point box in an
island.
If the signal formats of a switcher and cross-point box do
not match, the cross-point box cannot be operated.

“System Configuration.”
