bgp dampening Enable BGP route dampening and configure the dampening parameters. C9000 Series Syntax bgp dampening [half-life reuse suppress max-suppress-time] [route-map map-name] To disable route dampening, use the no bgp dampening [half-life reuse suppress max-suppress-time] [route-map map-name] command. Parameters half-life reuse suppress max-suppresstime route-map mapname (OPTIONAL) Enter the number of minutes after which the Penalty is decreased. After the router assigns a Penalty of 1024 to a route, the Penalty is decreased by half after the half-life period expires. The range is 1 to 45. The default is 15 minutes.
