2 portCfgNPort portCfgNPort Enables or disables N_Port functionality for an Access Gateway port. SYNOPSIS portcfgnport [slot/]port1[-port2] [mode] DESCRIPTION NOTES OPERANDS EXAMPLES Use this command to enable or disable N_Port functionality for an Access Gateway port or for a range of ports. The enabled N_Ports automatically come online if they are connected to an enterprise fabric switch that supports NPIV. When used without operands, this command displays the port configuration. NPIV capability must be enabled on the ports connected to the Access Gateway. By default, NPIV is enabled. Use portcfgnpivport --enable to enable NPIV capability on a port, if it was previously disabled. Note that enabling or disabling NPIV capability is no supported in Access Gateway mode. The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer to Chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS Commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for details. This command has the following optional operands: slot Specifies the slot number, followed by a slash (/) on bladed systems. port1[-port2] Specifies a single port or a range of ports to be configured as N_Ports, for example, 3-9, or 2/10-15. mode Enables (1) or disables (0) N_Port functionality on the specified ports. The default mode is 0 (disabled).
