Usage Guidelines You must configure the software-controlled redundant port using the configure ports redundant command prior to enabling Smart Redundancy. The Smart Redundancy feature works in concert with the software-controlled redundant port feature. With Smart Redundancy enabled on the switch, when the primary port becomes active the switch redirects all traffic to the primary port and blocks the redundant port again.
