www.dell.com | support.dell.com IP COMMUNITY LIST Mode Use the IP COMMUNITY LIST mode to configure an IP Community ACL on the E-Series. See Chapter 7, Access Control Lists (ACL). To enter IP COMMUNITY LIST mode: 1. Verify that you are logged in to the CONFIGURATION mode. 2. Enter the ip community-list command. You must include a name for the Community list.The prompt changes to include (config-community-list). You can return to the CONFIGURATION mode by entering the exit command. REDIRECT-LIST Mode To enter REDIRECT-LIST mode: 1. Verify that you are logged in to the CONFIGURATION mode. 2. Use the ip redirect-list command. You must include a name for the Redirect-list.The prompt changes to include (conf-redirect-list). You can return to the CONFIGURATION mode by entering the exit command. SPANNING TREE Mode Use the STP mode to enable and configure the Spanning Tree protocol, as described in Chapter 42, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP). To enter STP mode: 1. Verify that you are logged into the CONFIGURATION mode. 2. Enter the protocol spanning-tree stp-id command. You can return to the CONFIGURATION mode by entering the exit command. Per-VLAN SPANNING TREE Plus Mode Use PVST+ mode to enable and configure the Per-VLAN Spanning Tree (PVST+) protocol, as described in Chapter 31, Per-VLAN Spanning Tree plus (PVST+). Note: The protocol is PVST+, but the plus sign is dropped at the CLI prompt To enter PVST+ mode: 1. Verify that you are logged into the CONFIGURATION mode. 2. Enter the protocol spanning-tree pvst command. You can return to the CONFIGURATION mode by entering the exit command. 22 | CLI Basics
