Syntax spanning-tree pvst [edge-port [bpduguard [shutdown-on-violation]] | vlan vlan-range {cost number | priority value}] To disable PVST+ on an interface, use the no spanning-tree pvst [edge-port [bpduguard] [shutdown-on-violation]] | vlan vlan-range {cost number | priority value}] command. Parameters edge-port bpduguard shutdown-on-v iolation vlan vlan-range (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword edge-port to configure the interface as a PVST+ edge port. (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword portfast to enable Portfast to move the interface into forwarding mode immediately after the root fails. Enter the keyword bpduguard to disable the port when it receives a BPDU. (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword shutdown-on-violation to hardware disable an interface when a BPDU is received and the port is disabled. (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword vlan followed by the VLAN number(s).
