Usage Information This command enables XML input mode where you can either cut and paste XML requests or enter the XML requests line-by-line. For more information about using the XML feature, refer to the XML chapter in the FTOS Configuration Guide. traceroute View the packet path to a specific device. Syntax traceroute {host | ip-address} Parameters host ip-address Enter the name of device. Enter the IP address of the device in dotted decimal format. Defaults Timeout = 5 seconds; Probe count = 3; 30 hops max; 40 byte packet size; UDP port = 33434 Command Modes EXEC EXEC Privilege Command History Usage Information Version 8.3.16.1 Introduced on MXL 10/40GbE Switch IO Module When you enter the traceroute command without specifying an IP address (Extended Traceroute), you are prompted for a target and source IP address, timeout in seconds (default is 5), a probe count (default is 3), minimum TTL (default is 1), maximum TTL (default is 30), and port number (default is 33434). To keep the default setting for those parameters, press the ENTER key.
