By default, OSPFv3 is enabled. You must configure a router ID before OSPFv3 can become operational. For more information, see Configure the Routing IP Settings on page 302. Note: Once OSPFv3 is initialized on the router, it remains initialized until the router is reset. 6. Enter the Router ID as a 32-bit integer in dotted-decimal format that uniquely identifies the router within the autonomous system (AS). To change the router ID, you must first disable OSPFv3. After you set the new router ID, you must reenable OSPFv3 for the change to take effect. The default value is 0.0.0.0, although this is not a valid router ID. 7. Click the Apply button.
