If you are uncertain about the STPD names on the switch, use the show stpd command to view the STPD names. You can, however, re-use names across multiple categories of switch configuration. For example, you can use the name Test for an STPD and a VLAN. If you use the same name, NETGEAR recommends that you specify the appropriate keyword when configuring the STPD. If you do not specify the appropriate keyword, the switch displays a message similar to the following: %% Ambiguous command: "configure Test" To view the names of the STPDs on the switch, enter configure and press TAB. Scroll to the end of the output to view the names. Each STPD has its own Root Bridge and active path. After the STPD is created, one or more VLANs can be assigned to it.
