258 CHAPTER 7: USING MULTICAST PROTOCOL COMMANDS Report messages are received from any hosts within the defined period, the IGMP Querier considers it a timeout and stops membership maintenance for the group. This command only takes effect on an IGMP Querier running IGMP v2. For a Querier running IGMP v1, this command cannot take effect because the IGMP group members cannot send an IGMP Leave message when they leave a group. Related command: igmp robust-count and display igmp interface. Range from 1 to 25. By default, the value is 10 seconds. Description Use the igmp max-response-time command to configure the maximum response time contained in the IGMP query messages. Use the undo igmp max-response-time command to restore the default value. The maximum query response time determines the period for a router to quickly detect that there are no more directly connected group members in a LAN.
