328 CHAPTER 10: USING RSTP COMMANDS Parameter enable: Sets the current Ethernet port as an edge port. disable: Sets the current Ethernet port as a non-edge port. Description Use the stp edged-port enable command to configure the current port as an edge port. Use the stp edged-port disable command to configure the current port as a non-edge port. Use the undo stp edged-port command to restore the default setting. By default, all the Ethernet ports of the bridge are configured as non-edge ports. If the current Ethernet port is connected to other Switch, you can use the stp edged-port disable or undo stp edged-port command to specify it as a non-edge port. The stp edged-port enable command can be used to configure the current Ethernet port as an edge port. All the Ethernet ports have been set to non-edge ports by default. You can configure the Ethernet ports directly connected to the user terminals as edge ports, so that they can transition to forwarding state quickly. Related command: stp point-to-point. Example To set GigabitEthernet1/0/1 as a non-edge port, enter the following: system-view System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
