portCfgGport portCfgGport Designates a port as a G_Port; removes G_Port designation. Synopsis portcfggport [slot/]port,mode Description Use this command to designate a port as a G_Port. After successful execution of this command, the switch attempts to initialize the specified port as an F_Port only, and does not attempt loop initialization (FL_Port) on the port. A port designated as a G_Port can become an E_Port. This configuration can be cleared but not set on VE/VEX_Ports. Changes made by this command are persistent across switch reboots or power cycles. Notes The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric restrictions that may be in place. Refer to "Using Fabric OS Commands" and "Command Availability" for details. Operands This command has the following operands: slot For bladed systems only, specify the slot number of the port to be configured, followed by a slash (/). port Specify the port to be configured, relative to its slot for bladed systems. Use switchShow to display a list of valid ports. mode Specify a value of 1 to designate the port as a G_Port or specify a value of 0 to remove the G_Port designation from the port. A value of 0 is the default port state. Mode must be preceded by a comma. This operand is required.
