www.dell.com | support.dell.com Disabling a VLAN or a port channel causes different behavior. When a VLAN is disabled, the Layer 3 functions within that VLAN are disabled. Layer 2 traffic continues to flow. Entering the shutdown command on a port channel disables all traffic on the port channel and the individual interfaces within the port channel. To enable a port channel, you must enter no shutdown on the port channel interface and at least one interface within that port channel. The shutdown and description commands are the only commands that you can configure on an interface that is a member of a port channel. When manually configuring the management port speed the user must consider and match the remote device. It is highly recommended to use Auto-Negotiation for management ports.
