distance z S6000 Assign a weight (for prioritization) to all routes in the RIP routing table or to a specific route. Lower weights ("administrative distance") are preferred. Syntax distance weight [ip-address mask [prefix-name]] To return to the default values, use the no distance weight [ip-address mask] command. Parameters weight ip-address mask prefix-name Enter a number from 1 to 255 for the weight (for prioritization). The default is 120. (OPTIONAL) Enter the IP address, in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D), of the host or network to receive the new distance metric. If you enter an IP address, you must also enter a mask for that IP address, in either dotted decimal format or /prefix format (/x) (OPTIONAL) Enter a configured prefix list name. Parameters prefix-list-name interface Enter the name of a configured prefix list. (OPTIONAL) Identifies the interface type slot/port as one of the following: • For a 1-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword GigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information. • For a Port Channel, enter the keyword port-channel followed by a number from 1 to 32 for EtherScale, 1 to 255 for TeraScale, 1-128 on S-Series. • For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword TenGigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information. • For a VLAN, enter the keyword vlan followed by a number from 1 to 4094. • For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword fortyGigE followed by the slot/port information.
