When you configure OSPF over multiple vendors, use the ip ospf cost command to ensure that all routers use the same cost. Otherwise, OSPF routes improperly. Related Commands auto-cost Control how the OSPF interface cost is calculated. ip ospf dead-interval z S6000 Set the time interval since the last hello-packet was received from a router. After the interval elapses, the neighboring routers declare the router dead. Syntax ip ospf dead-interval seconds To return to the default values, enter no ip ospf dead-interval.
